Little Watts: The Zaniac
With captivating amounts of energy, Alex Zerbe moves like a rubber band from one end of the stage to the other. Beatboxing, juggling, dancing, singing, music, and magic are just a few of the things that led Piers Morgan of America’s Got Talent to call Alex “the total package.”
The “Professional Zaniac,” whoʼs been cracking jokes onstage for almost 15 years, zigzags between physical stunts and non-stop comedy. During the show, vegetables are sliced in half by flying playing cards, flaming torches and bowling balls are juggled with ease, and every audience volunteer leaves the stage in triumph.
A self-described “human cartoon,” his show isnʼt only for the kids in the family. “I try to make my show like the movie Shrek, super entertaining for the kids, but there’s a whole other level of comedy for teens and adults,” says Zerbe. Formerly of the award-winning duo Brothers from Different Mothers, Zerbe is a Hacky Sack World Champion, was voted The Pacific Northwest’s Funniest Prop Comic, and is currently ranked Seattle’s 3rd Best Air Guitarist. Heʼs performed everywhere from cruise ships and comedy clubs to prime-time television in three countries, including “Americaʼs Got Talent!” and “Last Comic Standing.”

Between the two short years of 1942-1944, an amazing 25,000 women applied to fly planes for the US Army Airforce. Only 1 of 25 applicants made it through to the intensive training program. The 1,074 graduates became Women Airforce Service Pilots, the first women to fly US military planes, serving as civilian pilots in an experimental Army Air Force program.
Washington State was home to more than twenty of those determined young women.
Stay for a Q&A after the performance.

Film: Preserved
In an era of wildfires, drought, and species decline, Vermejo is proof that ecosystem restoration is possible. And it’s a blueprint for where it can happen next. Preserved is more than a film—it’s a call to action. From farmers and ranchers to hikers and hunters, we all have a role to play.
For nearly 175 years, the Southwestern United States has seen civilizations rise and fall, leaving behind landscapes stripped by time and industry. Northern New Mexico’s 560,000-acre Vermejo is one such place—a land rich with history, from dinosaurs and early Indigenous communities to homesteaders, a conservation-minded grain baron, and Hollywood’s glitterati seeking outdoor recreation. But modern times took their toll, leaving it overgrazed and scarred by mining.
In 1996, Ted Turner bought the land as part of his work to restore and protect lands across the United States. A dedicated team began to work to heal the land, transforming it into a thriving sanctuary. Today, Vermejo stands as a testament to what’s possible: biodiversity restored, landscapes reborn, and a model for global conservation.
Shot over 130+ days in breathtaking cinematography, Preserved unveils this hidden paradise, capturing ancient archaeological wonders and unseen wildlife behaviors—bears stealing mountain lion kills, microscopic worlds thriving in water-filled potholes, and animals adapting to a changing planet. Scientists, ranchers, and visionaries come together to revive a landscape once thought lost, with voices like media mogul Ted Turner, leading conservationist Kris Tompkins, and renowned author Craig Childs.

Community Event: Truck Show
Not too long ago, horses were replaced by “speed wagons,” motorized vehicles. Fort Walla Walla Museum is excited to recognize that history with the American Truck Historical Society, which will host its annual truck show.
Come out for the day and see locally owned vintage trucks, pickup trucks, vintage cars, and “old iron” on display. Meet the owners and enjoy stories about their vehicles and equipment. The Annual Truck Show includes the Blue Mountain Chapter members’ vehicles and equipment, which reflects the road transportation history and the connection with the region.
The Blue Mountain Chapter of the ATHS organizes and runs the truck show. Forty to fifty vehicles, including farm trucks, pickups, and semis, are expected to be displayed, along with small engines, tractors, and other transportation items.
Incorporated in 1971, the American Truck Historical Society preserves the history of trucks, the trucking industry, and its pioneers. An annual convention has been held each year since 1972, with a public antique truck show added in 1980. If you are interested, have stories to share, or enjoy seeing and “feeling” old trucks and cars, we look forward to meeting you!
This is the perfect event for families. There will be live music, food, fun, and fine vehicles.
