Most streets in downtown Walla Walla operate within a two-hour parking zone, enforced Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Public parking lots provide options for longer visits.

For details on parking rules, enforcement hours, and temporary event restrictions, see the sections below.

Parking Guide

    • Most of the downtown core is designated as a two-hour parking zone under Walla Walla Municipal Code Chapter 10.13.

    • Vehicles may park for up to two hours within a single block.

    • A block includes both sides of the street between two intersections.

    • Moving a vehicle within the same block does not restart the two-hour limit.

    • Parking within the same block during the same day is considered continuous parking, which is not allowed under city code.

    • Two-hour parking limits are enforced Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    • Limits are not enforced outside of these hours, on weekends, or on designated public holidays as defined in Walla Walla Municipal Code §10.13.020.

    • Some locations may have 15-minute or 30-minute limits, as indicated by posted signage.

    • During festivals and large events, some streets may have temporary No Parking areas or closures.

    • By city code, No Parking signs must be posted at least 48 hours in advance in the areas where restrictions will occur.

    • Each posted sign includes the specific dates, times, and locations of the restriction. Drivers should check posted signage when parking during event periods.

    • Downtown Walla Walla includes sidewalks, curb ramps, and pedestrian crossings that support navigation throughout the district.

    • Accessible parking spaces are located throughout downtown and are marked with blue signage.

    • Visitors who encounter a barrier on a sidewalk, crossing, or other public right-of-way facility may submit a request through the City of Walla Walla Service Request system.
