Double Take Guitar Duo — Bill Bogard and John Holmes — perform jazz standards and originals with two guitars and a timeless, conversational sound.

John Holmes has been a driving force in the Non Stop Band—a composer’s workshop and studio recording project—for more than 40 years. In Walla Walla, he’s played in a variety of ensembles, including Duo Caribe with percussionist Lary Barileau, Jazzmen Tea with poet Larry Leier, the Latin Jazz Collective, and the Mike Agidius Quartet. He also performs regularly with his son Chris and percussionist Glenn Ayers under various group names.

Bill Bogard, a seasoned guitarist with over 50 years of professional experience, has performed locally with groups such as My Sister Linoleum (featuring vocalist Janet Berger), Jazz Standard Time, and The Walla Walla Rhythm Train, along with numerous solo appearances. A retired Whitman College professor, Bill is both performer and composer, known for his expressive style and lifelong dedication to the craft.
