Workshop: Civics 101

  • Walla Walla Public Library 238 East Alder Street Walla Walla, WA, 99362 United States (map)

Presented by the WA State Office of the Secretary of State's Civic Engagement Project, Civics 101 will help you learn how our government works and various ways to engage at the state level. Enjoy a lunchtime taco from La Monarca Mexican Food Truck following this free, open-to-the-public event.

This non-partisan, interactive workshop will explore the structure of state government in WA, how bills become law, and how you can track and participate in state government and the legislative process. We’ll use materials from Teach with TVW and the state legislature, with particular attention to policies impacting women.

Co-sponsored by the Walla Walla Public Library and AAUW-Walla Walla.
